This site is a wonderful dedication to your parents. My heart goes out to you on losing your parents so close together.
Your Mom was a very special lady in my life.for standing on the corner of 24 years, I will always remember her. When I lost my Mom and Dad it was like losing a part of my self. THis is a beautiful and touching dedication to your parents. It is hard to lose them both so close together.
Alice and I shared a common love of "the great local postcard image" and I always looked forward to her visits to my booth during the Antique Auto Show and the Chenango County Historical Society's Show. We would visit about her "latest finds" and she would also fill me in on how the family was doing. It was obvious how very proud of all of them she was! And I'm pleased to say my friendship with two of her daughters, Chris and Kathy, continues today.
Hey Chris, what a beautiful tribute to your parents! xo wendy
I remember spending a summer up at my Grandparents house on the hill. The days were filled with exploring the woods out in back of the house, bounding through the bushes with the dogs, and seeing all the deer and other animals. At night I remember looking through an endless array of books on history and all sorts of nicknacks from the past. I will always have these fond memories and I will always cherish them. My memeories will hold me over until I can see my grandparents again. I know they are up in heaven, on a big hill with the woods out in back. Just waiting for me to show up and play again. Of course, Alice is still collecting all her history books and her nicknacks. Imagine the size of her collection when I finally get to see her again. My best wishes to those who were left behind. Mark
Dear Chris,
What a lovely tribute to your folks, especially your mother. I hope this will help you to remember the good memories they left you and allow you to let The Lord heal the rest. Find joy in your family and friends once again. This has been a long and arduous journey. I admire you greatly!
Chris, I'm sorry for the loss of your parents and that I never had the opportunity to know them. This is a lovely tribute to their memory.

Been there
your infinite companion
Thanks for helping me cross the street all those years.
Chris, you and I spent many wonderful times together growing up. Alice was a great infuluence on my life. She taught me how to twirl a mean baton and was always keeping us in line, no it wasn't me running through your flowers taking the short cut home. These fun memories will always be with me. Most of all, they gave me a best friend, Chris, who will always be special to me. They will be remembered always in my heart.
Dear Chris,
Al and I extend our since sympathy on the loss of your parents. What a wonderful tribute to the. I remember your Mom very well as we went to school at the same time. I remember what a wonderful drum majorette she was. I also remember what a good and caring crossing guard she was for so many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family.
Dearest Christine, This is a beautiful tribute to your mom and dad! How did your mother and father influence our lives? They raised a woman that we admire. An admirable woman that has accomplished so much in her life and continues to give of herself to her community. Your mother faced down trucks when she was a school crossing guard? Of couse, we have seen that strength in you. In the middle of our own crisis a few years ago, who did we call and come and to be with Priscilla? You. When we needed someone that would not "break down" for Priscilla, answer her questions with compassion and still treat her in a warm loving manner, we called you. Your parents greatest contribution to the world is evident in your existence. Your parents, along with the goods and bads of their personalities, did mold you into a wonderful human being. Although you hated your birthday party, you should be pleased that so many people love you and therefore them.
Lillian, Chris, Tom, Kathy, in-laws, and grandchildren...... First we wish to thank you for allowing us to share this beautiful tribute to your parents. As you all know, Walt and Alice were so near and dear to us...... we had a VERY close relationship for several years!! Could not begin to tell you the many "get-togethers" we shared, almost every day of the year. Alice was too overwhelmed to learn we were leaving Oxford and wanted to know what she would do w/o us. Unfortunately, not being in the area, we learned too late of their loss and did not know how to get in touch with remaining family members. So, again, "Thank You All" for remembering us!!

While in N.Y.,in December,Teri and I stopped at the Vets Home to visit both Walt and Alice..... Walt was sleeping soundly and Alice had just awakened. We enjoyed all the wonderful display of pictures ...... how "heart-rendering"!! My earliest memory of Alice was when I came down with gastro-enteritus, she was at Webby's house for coffee, and I came streaking out of my room, and she was right with me to help as best as she could.. As a matter of fact, that should be her epitaph, "she helped as best as she could". Walt and Alice will always be a cornerstone in my memories of Oxford.

Chris: What a beautiful tribute to your loving parents. She was the best majorette Oxford School ever had. Thanks Alice for keeping Jim, Donna and Eileen safe on their way to school and for giving Donna a wonderful friend in Chris. We will always remember them. Bill & Joyce Hemstrought
We finally got time to look at your memory page. How nice that this can be done. We will remember your mother on the corner and as you said, she is still there in spirit.
Wonderful tribute for your parents. Thank you for sharing it. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I happened on this site by accident and am now very much interested in doing this for my mom who passed on Feb 25,2000. I have to get it all together and get it done. Pray for me in that endeavor. May God bless you and yours always & all ways.
I remember feeling safe when you Mom was on the corner.
Chris, Kathleen wanted me to check out this site... It's beautiful...enjoyed very much... Love and hugs Vickie (Kellys II Tavern)
Its taken along time for me to come to his page. I have fond memories of my gradparents. Christmas is really hard with out them. I can remember waiting for grandma and grandpa to come over and open presents. Grandma and I would sit for hours coming each others hair in funny styles we would NEVER leave the house in. Grandpa always had a way of making me smile even if I was in the worst moode.I would also like to add that they now have another beautyful grandson (Logan Turner). I only wish they could know him and see what a joy and blessing he is to me.
