Donald and Patricia
Furano

Donald born in Geneva, NY on May 27, 1936, died February 19, 1990

Patricia born in Waterloo,  NY on May 17, 1936, died September 22, 1993

Donald also known as "Ducky" served in the army in the Korean Conflict.  Patricia worked as a lab technician at Geneva General Hospital for many years.

They have two daughters Mary Beth and Julie.  Patty and Ducky enjoyed their life in upstate New York for many years.  They traveled to Florida just about every year for family vacations.  In 1985 they moved to Florida where Ducky worked in real estate and Patty in child care.  They were the type of  people who were always there to lend a hand to anyone and always welcomed people into their home.

Married May 30, 1959

Although Patty and Ducky's lives were cut short here on earth they were very happy and as we know they are now together forever.

Julie's best memory of Mom and Dad:

When my son, James, was born I was in the bathroom of my hospital room and mom and dad had just arrived to see us.  They  put a stuffed animal penguin in my bed.  When I came out of the room that was all I saw.  I started laughing  and soon I was crying with pain (I had stitches from my C-section).  It was like we couldn't stop, so we laughed and cried for about 10 minutes straight!!!

Mary Beth's Poem:
Our Song

In our hearts, mind, body and soul
You are missed more than you will ever know.
Your love we feel, it will never leave
Only the smiles we cannot see.
Only the hugs we can not feel
remind us of the emptiness around us everywhere.
Someday we'll be together again
As the family it should have been.
For now memories will have to do
The thoughts, the prayers, will come to you
Requesting the strength it takes to go on
Is the theme of our song.

An Ode to Pat
(written by  friend/coworker: Maggie)

'Tis not quite a year since you have graced our lab with class
And always have impressed us as a tender, caring Lass.
Nimble fingers never falter, drawing blood, filing reports,
With brisk concern  you'll lend a hand, to an underpaid, hardworking band.
You precious little lady, there's spice in all you do.
The way you walk and seldom talk, there's culture thru' and thru'.
And when you flash that winning smile we've glad you came here stat.
Your neat trim figure tell it all that none can match our Pat.
